The recipes on the following pages are alternatives for people who are intolerant to various foods, such as, wheat, dairy or eggs and can be adjusted to suit various dietary requirements.
Most good supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury's have special diet products now and we are finding that they are all expanding their ranges considerably. Also most people will have a good natural food store within easy reach, as most small towns seem to have at least one these days, there are several listed in the links area of the site, and please do contact us if you need details of one in your area.
Rice flour, soya flour, tapioca and potato flour can be used instead of wheat flour for baking bread, pastry and cakes and there are several really good makes available, so its worth a bit of experimentation to see what suits you.
Also, its worth noting that products labelled as gluten free aren't necessarily wheat free and vice-versa, so do check the label before buying.
